1998: ADEC Solutions (now ADEC Group) is founded.
ADEC Group specializes in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), managing back-office processes for Fortune 500 companies. It is now a global enterprise with over 5,000 employees and operations in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
2007: ADEC Solutions begins managing environmental data.
Overwhelmed by the sheer manpower required to track carbon emissions and other environmental data, our clients ask us to manage it for them.
2008: FirstCarbon Solutions is established as a stand-alone energy and sustainability management firm.
Since its inception, the company has expanded its solutions and services beyond carbon management.
2009: ADEC Solutions achieves ISO 14001:2004 Certification.
ADEC Solutions, FirstCarbon Solutions' sister company, receives ISO 14001:2004 certification. This acknowledges ADEC Group's commitment and adherence to recognized best practices.
2009: FirstCarbon Solutions expands its team of environmental experts.
To provide increased bottom line value to clients, FirstCarbon Solutions rounds out our team with seasoned environmental consultants and robust environmental software. FirstCarbon Solutions becomes the only company offering fully integrated consulting and software with unmatched expertise in back office data processing.
2010: FirstCarbon Solutions acquires Enverity Corporation and its ghgTrack Software.
With this acquisition of a leading environmental software firm, FirstCarbon Solutions is able to provide its clients with more comprehensive software solutions to better meet the broad spectrum of their needs.
2010: FirstCarbon Solutions expands operations in China.
The company offers the Mandarin version of FirstCarbon®Solutions ghgTrack™ software. The company also opens offices in Hong Kong and Beijing.
2010: FirstCarbon Solutions receives Accreditation as GHG Verification Body from California Air Resources Board.
California Air Resources Board accredits FirstCarbon Solutions as a greenhouse gas verification body for California Global Warming Solutions Act Regulatory Program (AB 32). Under Executive Order H-10-196, FirstCarbon Solutions is certified to verify greenhouse gas inventories for approximately 700 facilities that are required to report.
2011: FirstCarbon Solutions Forms Strategic Partnership with CSR Asia.
FirstCarbon Solutions joins CSR Asia Strategic Partners Programme. CSR Asia is a leading provider of information, training, research, and advisory services on sustainable business practices in Asia.
2011: FirstCarbon Solutions is awarded GSA IT Schedule 70 Contract.
U.S. General Services (GSA) Information Technology (IT) Schedule 70 for Term Software Licenses and Software Maintenance is awarded to FirstCarbon Solutions. This establishes documentation for FirstCarbon Solutions as a Federal Supply Schedule Contractor.
2011: FirstCarbon Solutions is selected by Carbon Disclosure Project as Supply Chain Scoring Partner.
FirstCarbon Solutions announces a partnership with the Carbon Disclosure Project. FirstCarbon Solutions scores 1,300 company submissions to CDP Supply Chain, a program which works with global corporations to understand the impacts of climate change across the supply chain.
